Farewell SANCA sesh, SEATTLE TRICKING STUDIO?

28 Oct 2022 by Jared

Hello! In case you’re not already in the loop, our contract with SANCA is up at the end of October!

Most of you probably noticed the waitlists can get out of hand especially on Mondays and Fridays. This is a good problem to have, meaning that we’re outgrowing the space which is why we’ve been on a space search since early May. We finally plan to lease our own space in a few weeks and hope to be operational by mid-December. For now, here’s the plan:

Last Practice at SANCA on 10/31, HALLOWEEN Monday
We’re looking to have increased capacity on that day, but for now we should plan on the limit still being 10. Of course it’s going to be a costume sesh. eyes out on the weekly sessions tab.

Interim weekly practices
Coastal Ream Gymnastics in Everett (former leading edge gymnastics)
-7:30-8:30pm Mondays/Thursdays ($10)
UW IMA mat B for UW tricking club practice
-3:15-5:15pm Wednesdays (free for UW students)
Hero Athletics Cheer in Bothell
-7:30-9:00pm Fridays ($10)

New Gym stuff
We are a few signatures away from closing on a studio space right off highway 99 in Edmonds. After that, we’re dealing with permitting, painting, setting up security, wifi, and lighting, spring floor planning and assembly. If you or someone you know has knowledge in those areas, please connect us!

Jared and Krissy are dedicating nearly $20,000 of their own personal funds to make this a reality. PLEASE consider donating. Everything helps!

-money (not tax deductible), please venmo @seattletricking :) this will make the biggest impact on what equipment we ultimately decide on.
-stuff for the facility (speakers, cubby, power tools, cleaning equipment, paint, furniture, art, computer accesories, etc) DM @seattletricking on insta!
-expertise (construction, electrical, plumbing, painting, murals, security, etc knowhow) DM @seattletricking on insta!
-time and muscle (for assembly, painting, speaker, internet, security cam, etc) Keep an eye out on the meetups tab for when we’re painting and assembling the floor mostly.

Again, thanks to everyone in the community who’ve been supporting us. It’s thanks to you all that we’re so close to making this dream a reality!
